What is Curve Rush
Curve Rush is a one-button arcade game about a ball, a field of endless sand dunes, and the physics between them. Hold to gain speed, release on a rise, fly over the line, survive the landing, repeat.
The whole design lives in one trade-off: the scoring line sits high, and the higher you fly to cross it, the harder the ground hits back. There is no enemy and no timer — just momentum, slope geometry, and your own greed. Most runs end not from a mistake but from one jump too ambitious for the terrain below it.
Released in February 2025 by Azgames.io, it belongs to the same family of physics-flavored skill games as Wacky Steps — simple controls, honest physics, and a personal-best number you keep wanting to nudge upward.

How to Play Curve Rush
Your ball rolls along an endless series of sand dunes. Hold the spacebar — or the screen on mobile — to press the ball down and build speed; release on an upward slope to launch into the air. Every jump that crosses the white line near the top of the screen scores a point. The catch is gravity: the higher you fly, the harder you come down, and a hard landing ends the run instantly. The game is the constant negotiation between scoring altitude and survivable descent.
Controls
On desktop, hold the spacebar to build speed and release to launch. On mobile, press and hold the screen. That single input controls the entire game.
Strategies
Curve Rush rewards restraint. Every point demands crossing the line, but every point is purchased with altitude, and altitude is a loan gravity collects on landing. Learn to read dune shapes mid-roll: an upslope ahead is a launchpad, and the steeper it is, the more height a release buys. The elite habit is releasing early — a jump that clears the line by a margin instead of a mile keeps the descent manageable. When you do go big, hunt for a long down-slope to receive the landing; flat sand at high fall-speed is where runs go to die.
Why is Curve Rush So Popular
One-input games live and die on their risk dial, and Curve Rush's altitude-for-points trade is a great one: the player always chooses how much danger to buy. Every crash is self-inflicted in hindsight, which is exactly what makes the retry button irresistible.
Tips and Tricks
Climb in bursts, not leaps
Three modest hops over the line, each with a soft landing, beat one heroic launch followed by a crater. Small air keeps every descent survivable and the score compounding steadily.
Read the dune before you ride it
Slope geometry is everything. Steep upslope plus speed equals a big launch; a gentle rise barely lifts you. Scan one dune ahead and decide your release point before you are on it.
Land on down-slopes
A slope that falls away in your direction of travel absorbs impact like a cushion; flat or rising sand returns your full momentum to you. Steer every descent toward the gentler side of the next dune.
Release early, always
Clearing the line by a small margin scores exactly the same point as clearing it by half the screen. Early release trims altitude off every jump, and trimmed altitude is survivable altitude.
Speed is a liability at height
The faster you were rolling at launch, the farther you fly and the harder you fall. When hunting big points, trade some ground speed for control — a slower launch onto a steep dune beats a max-speed launch into the void.

Curve Rush review: the one-trade-off design — altitude buys points and spends survivability — proves you can build a whole arcade game on a single honest piece of physics. Every death is self-diagnosable in hindsight ('I did not need to go that high'), and that legibility is what keeps the retry loop friendly instead of frustrating. The sand-dune terrain reads beautifully too: slopes announce themselves early enough to plan, late enough to stay interesting.
It is a minimal game and it occasionally feels like one — there is no unlock meta, no alternate modes, nothing but you and the dunes — so players who need progression rails will drift away after a few sessions. As a pure score-chaser, though, the flight-and-landing rhythm is genuinely elegant, and nudging a personal best by two or three points stays motivating far longer than it has any right to.
