Reading Movement Patterns

Every moving platform follows a predictable back-and-forth pattern. Spend a fraction of a second observing the direction it is traveling before you commit to your landing. If a platform is sliding away from you, wait for it to reverse direction and come back rather than chasing it.

Fragile Platforms

Land on these and they crack, then collapse a moment later. You can bounce off them once, but you cannot linger. Fragile platforms teach you to keep moving upward without hesitation. Treat them as one-time boost pads -- bounce and immediately look for the next platform above.

Hazard Platforms

Covered in spikes or marked with danger indicators, these platforms end your run on contact. Hazard platforms force you to navigate around them, narrowing your available landing zones and creating choke points that test your precision.

The Fake Gap

Sometimes hazard platforms appear with a tiny safe strip on one edge. Landing on this strip is possible but extremely tight. Only attempt the safe strip if no alternative platform is within reach.

Ascent Strategy: How to Climb Efficiently

The Center-Line Philosophy

Keep your character near the horizontal center of the screen whenever possible. A center position gives you equal access to platforms on both the left and right sides. If you drift to one edge, platforms on the opposite side become unreachable.

Planning Two Platforms Ahead

Never focus solely on the next platform. Look at least two platforms above your current target. This forward planning prevents situations where you land on a platform that has no reachable option above it. If the platform layout ahead looks sparse, adjust your horizontal position now to give yourself the best approach angle.

The Danger of Vertical Tunnels

Sometimes platforms cluster in a narrow vertical corridor, creating a tunnel you must navigate. Tunnels are dangerous because they restrict your horizontal movement. If you enter a tunnel, commit to staying centered within it and focus purely on timing your bounces.

Coin Collection Without Risk

Coins float between platforms and collecting them boosts your score. However, reaching for a coin that pulls you away from a safe platform trajectory is almost never worth the risk. Prioritize the next platform first, and only collect coins that fall naturally within your path.

Important Notes for Climbers

• The difficulty curve never flattens. Platforms get smaller, move faster, and appear more sparsely as you climb. There is no comfort zone at higher altitudes.
